ShelterBridge, a mobile app initiative, is dedicated to providing support and resources to those in need. Our mission is to ensure that every homeless individual has access to essential services and safe accommodations.
Through innovation and collaboration, ShelterBridge strives to be a beacon of hope for those experiencing homelessness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community.
How it started
“Every day, countless individuals in Portland search for a safe place to sleep. Among them was Dano, a regular at Blanchet House. One evening, as I handed him his dinner, he looked up, exhausted and despairing, and asked, “Where can I go now?”
Dano’s story is not unique. Many houseless individuals in Portland struggle to access essential services and find stability. We needed a comprehensive tool to connect the houseless with vital resources, help them find shelter, and offer pathways to long-term stability.
This is why ShelterBridge was created. Our mobile app bridges the gap between the houseless and the resources they need. By providing real-time information, a platform for ratings and reviews, and facilitating communication with support organizations, ShelterBridge empowers the houseless to navigate their way to a better future.”
