How it started
“Every day, countless individuals in Portland search for a safe place to sleep. Among them was Dave, a regular at Blanchet House. One evening, as I volunteer at Blanchet House, handed him his dinner, he looked up, exhausted and despairing, and asked, “Where can I go now?”
Dave’s story is not unique. Many houseless individuals today struggle to access essential services and find stability. We needed a comprehensive tool to connect the houseless with vital resources, help them find shelter, and offer pathways to long-term stability.
This is why ShelterBridge was created. Our mobile app bridges the gap between the houseless and the resources they need. By providing real-time information, a platform for ratings and reviews, and facilitating communication with support organizations, ShelterBridge empowers the houseless to navigate their way to a better future.”
