I’m beyond excited to share a huge milestone in our journey with ShelterBridge – we’ve just released the first demo of our app! It’s been months of hard work, countless late nights, and incredible collaboration, but seeing it come to life is nothing short of amazing.

What to Expect

In this demo, you’ll get an exclusive first look at the features of ShelterBridge. The app is designed to connect users with crucial resources like food banks, shelters, legal aid, and more. It includes a map to help locate nearby services and lets users rate and comment on their experiences to ensure quality and reliability. We’ve also integrated a chat box powered by OpenAI, providing instant support to users with any questions they may have.

Looking Ahead

This is just the beginning. As we continue to develop and enhance ShelterBridge, we’re committed to reaching out to more communities and integrating more services. Starting this June, I’ll be embarking on a summer research internship at Portland State University. With the support of Professor Wu, we’ll be building a more secure, fast, and reliable generative AI for the app.
